BTS The BTS ARMY is ecstatic that Jin has finally released his solo track, “The Astronaut.” Additionally, the singer worked on the song with Coldplay, one of his favorite bands. Jin and Chris Martin sang and performed their new song at their show in Argentina a few hours after it was released.
Coldplay and Jin co-wrote “The Astronaut,” according to BTS, but the song itself showcases the stadium-sized rock sound that the British band is known for as the ideal foundation for Jin’s steady, calming voice.
In the music video for “The Astronaut,” Jin embraces his acting skills and tells a touching tale of an alien exploring Planet Earth, experiencing amazement and joy along the way, and ultimately deciding to make our planet his home. Throughout the entire video, which has special cameos from his Coldplay collaborators and love shoutouts to ARMY if one looks closely, Jin maintains a composed demeanor.
Many believe that the song is a present from Jin’s admirers before he reports for mandatory military service.
BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, RM, Suga, V aka Kim Taehyung, Jhope, and RM as well as the ARMY posted positive comments about the new song on social media.
In a statement, Bighit discussed Jin’s military enlistment and said, “The members of BTS are presently going forward with plans to complete their military service, BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today. The members of BTS are honored to serve after the incredible concert in support of Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030 and as each person starts their own independent career.”
Based on their own schedules and goals, the other members of BTS will also join the military. After completing their service obligation, the group will get together once more as a unit around 2025.
