Actress Priyanka Chopra, former victim of domestic abuse turned social worker Sneha Jawale, astronaut Sirisha Bandla, and novelist Geetanjali Shree are four Indian women who have made it to the distinguished list. For the first time, the BBC requested some of the previous “100 Women” to suggest women they thought should be included on the list for 2022 and whose stories needed to be shared.
“The MeToo movement and subsequent voices of collective women coming together, protecting each other, and standing by each other – there’s something very powerful in togetherness,” She reportedly said.
Along with the other women on the list, Priyanka also shares the honour with Ursula von der Leyen, the first female president of the European Commission, Mia Mottley, the first female prime minister of Barbados, and Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine.
After attending the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Priyanka recently in Dubai. She posted a number of images and videos from her weekend on a boat and later from her appearance at a Bvlgari event, for whom she serves as a brand ambassador.
In an interview, Priyanka Chopra Jonas said that she will finally be paid equally to her male co-stars in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series “Citadel.” She has 20 years of acting experience. In an interview with BBC’s 100 Women, Priyanka said, “I’ve never had pay parity in Bollywood,”
Priyanka lives in Los Angeles with her husband, the actor-singer Nick Jonas. In January of this year, the couple welcomed their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas via surrogacy.
