Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani, engaged Radhika Merchant at Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
They reportedly had their Roka ceremony yesterday in the presence of family members and friends. The young couple spent the day at the temple seeking Lord Shrinathji’s blessings.
Radhika Merchant is the CEO of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company and the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Marchant are childhood friends and yesterday they start a new journey of togetherness.
The couple was spotted together on several occasions. After Anant’s siblings, Akash and Isha, married to Shloka Mehta and Anand Piramal, respectively, all eyes were on the charming couple. Radhika was last spotted at Prithvi Akash Ambani’s first birthday party, Akash and Shloka’s son.
Anant wore an embroidered navy-blue achkan by designer Raghavendra Rathore for the event. During the occasion, Radhika donned a pink suit with gotta Patti work on the yoke of the kurta, while Anant wore a purple-hued kurta.
Reliance Industries Limited’s Director-Corporate Affairs, Parimal Nathwani, congratulated the couple on Twitter. In the meantime, images from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Roka ceremony have gone viral on social media. Parimal Nathwani Post pic and wrote “Heartiest congratulations to dearest Anant and Radhika for their Roka ceremony at the Shrinathji temple in Nathdwara. May Lord Shrinath ji’s blessings be with you always. #AnantAmbani.”
Radhika Merchant’s best friend, Orhan Awataramani, congratulated Anant and Radhika on his Instagram account. He even used a ring emoji to signify the couple’s engagement.

Radhika also has a younger sister, Anjali Merchant. She studied politics and economics at New York University after attending the Cathedral and John Connon Schools in Mumbai and Ecole Mondiale World School. Radhika returned to India after graduation to work as a sales professional in a real estate business. She serves as a Director on the Board of Encore Healthcare.
Anant Ambani’s fiancée, Radhika Merchant, has been learning Bharatnatyam for almost eight years. Guru Bhavana Thakar taught her Bharatnatyam at Shree Nibha Arts.
