Fans rarely get to see a DCEU actor provide their opinion on a Marvel film. The movie office success of the MCU’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” was acknowledged by Dwayne Johnson. For all of the Marvel and DCEU fans across the world, it is undoubtedly a new dawn and a new day. Whether the fans are happy about it or not is up for debate, but they do respect it. According to projections from measurement company ComScore, Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” dethroned DC’s “Black Adam” at the domestic box office this weekend, grossing 180 million dollars in the US and Canada.
Actor Dwayne Johnson made sure to take to social media to congratulate the film’s success without harboring any grudges when news of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ box office collection emerged from the DCEU’s ‘Black Adam’.
Johnson corrected himself in the tweet that came after he thanked all the “movie goers” for “Black Panther,” writing, “Of course! Always rooting for our business to win. We all benefit overall when box office flourishes. Box office success is hard to achieve and always great to see good, hard-working people accomplish it #BlackPanther”
Fans lost their composure after this, though, since it appeared like the long war between Marvel and DC had concluded with only a brief tweet. The majority of Johnson’s followers have shown their “crazy appreciation” for their beloved actor, even though some Marvel and DC fans haven’t handled it well enough.
A fan wrote, “This, we appreciate an era where BOTH of these black led films can have a spotlight,” while another wrote, “Massive respect.” Finally, a fan stated, “This is the way it should be. Thank you for setting a good example!”
